Stud Contract This agreement is entered into on the day of , 20 , between Lake Van Kennels, and , the Breeder, in consideration of the mutual promises and agreements set forth herein, the Parties agree as follows: 1. Lake Van Kennels agrees to make available River Bluff's Duck Duck Goose, hereinafter referred to as the Stud, for breeding to , hereinafter referred to the Dam, at Lake Van Kennels. 2. The breeder knows their dam's heat cycle better than Lake Van Kennels and as such shall determine the breeding schedule; however, it is suggested for optimal results that the Dam be brought to Lake Van Kennels on day three to five of the heat cycle, and remain until the Stud shows no interest in further breeding activity. For optimal results it is recommended the Dam is progesterone tested prior to breeding to identify the best time for breeding. 3. Lake Van Kennels shall take all reasonable and necessary steps to ensure the Dam's safety and security while at their facility. The Dam will primarily remain indoors except to eliminate, or in a contained area (Kennel/Fenced Yard/Play Pen), for the duration of her stay. 4. At the Breeder's discretion, and cost, the Stud may be made available for semen collection at the Stud's Veterinarian, which can be shipped, to be used during the immediate heat cycle, for artificial insemination. Stud's semen is to be used for the immediate heat, with the agreed upon Dam, and any excess semen is to be disposed of and not used for future breeding(s). If artificial insemination is not successful Lake Van Kennels will ship an additional time and the Breeder will be responsible for all costs, no additional stud fee is charged. 5. Lake Van Kennels represents to the Breeder they are the lawful owners of the Stud, without encumbrance. The Stud is AKC registered, and is of proper age, and health, for breeding. The Stud has, as of his last annual Veterinarian exam, was free of parasites, and is current on all vaccinations. The Stud has been tested for certain genetic conditions, and OFA. The Stud is proven and has previously produced healthy and viable litters. Breeder will sign any necessary registration paperwork for the Dam. The Breeder agrees to notify Lake Van Kennels within seven (7) days of a successful birthing by the Dam. 6. Breeder represents to Lake Van Kennels they are the lawful owner(s) of the Dam, without encumbrance. The Dam is of proper age, and health, for breeding. The Dam, as of her last annual Veterinarian exam, is current on all vaccinations, is free of parasites. Lake Van Kennels has the right to refuse the Dam if she is not properly tested, to include health exam for parasites and brucellosis test, it is the responsibility of the Breeder to provide results prior to breeding. 7. Although Lake Van Kennels will assist as needed in the breeding process, to ensure the Stud and Dam "tie", it is possible to have an unsuccessful breeding. Lake Van Kennels
